When setting up a school’s IT infrastructure from scratch, especially for mandatory digital assessments like the CBSE SAFAL (Structured Assessment for Analyzing Learning), choosing the right internet architecture is a high-stakes decision.  

The default choice for a network design usually comes down to two options: an Internet Leased Line (ILL) or Business Broadband. The SAFAL exam uses a Local School Server model. This means internet connectivity is primarily required only on the server machine to download exam packages, sync keys, and upload final results. The local student computers (client machines) communicate directly with the local server over the school’s internal local area network (LAN).
